As the regeneration of the area takes shape there will be increasing opportunities to invest in Irvine Bay. The area has a long history of industrialisation and current strengths include energetics, aero-engineering, back-office functions, recycling and chemicals.
Plans are in place for the regeneration of the town centres of the five towns in the area, creating significant retail and business investment opportunities.
The regeneration plans identify particular priority industries and Irvine Bay Regeneration Company is looking for investors to partner with on major projects.
With plans in place to reverse the trend of industrial decline in the area, together with our partners, we are able to provide support and advice to relocating businesses.
The £60m Ayrshire golf development is an example of a major investment in the area, building on existing strengths of the area as a golf tourism destination.
Brian Keating, Director of The Ayrshire:
A lot of people forget that while St Andrews is the spiritual soul of golf Ayrshire is definitely the heart of golf. It’s where the Open started and it’s close to Prestwick Airport which brings in hundreds of thousands of European golfers every year to play in Scotland.
