Finding a home

A significant amount of residential development will take place in the coming years, with 9,000 new homes planned in Irvine Bay over the next 20 years.

The idea behind the housing developments is to concentrate new houses around the town centres and along the coast and for designs to be distinctive and high quality. This approach to housing development will also be applied to existing housing and the proposed improvements by the council and housing associations.

Education projects are helping young people to engage with their studies and with regeneration. The Tomorrow's Homes Today project was an opportunity for local pupils from Irvine Royal Academy and Auchenharvie Academy to explore modern house design.
