Irvine Bay Regeneration Company is inviting local businesses to learn more about the regeneration underway in their area – and how local firms are already benefiting.
Three events are being held, each at a different time of day and in three different towns to give busy business people the best possible choice.
At the briefings, attendees will be informed about 'The Ayrshire’ golf complex proposal and how it will benefit the area; and also from a local business person about how their business is already benefiting from the work of the regeneration company.
The events will include a question and answer session, and networking opportunities.
Chief Executive Patrick Wiggins said:
This year’s series of business events build on the terrific success of the three initial meetings last year, which were each attended by around 140 people.
“These meetings allow us to keep local businesses up to date with our activity and progress, and with the opportunities that work can present for them.”
The first of the three events takes place at 9.00am (arrival from 8.30am) on Tuesday, 5th October at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine. As well as an update on ‘The Ayrshire’, from project director Brian Keating, the audience will be able to hear from Shona Thorne of Thorne Travel in Kilwinning, who opened her business in the Main Street because the street was about to undergo major regeneration.
The second event begins at 6.00pm (arrival from 5.30pm) on Wednesday 10 November at Taylors Hotel in Kilwinning, where the guest speaker will be Pauline Cassidy of Goody 2 Shoes.
The events are expected to last around 1 hour, and teas, coffees and refreshments will be served afterwards.
