A centre designed to help businesses grow and prosper in Irvine Bay has been officially launched.
ASPIRE Business Centre, owned by Irvine Bay Regeneration Company, is aimed at providing subsidised service office space for incubating new-start businesses. The centre, in the former NACCO factory Irvine, is managed by Real Work Skills.
The official launch was held alongside a Community of Business event at the centre, with nearly 100 people attending representing 12 social enterprises.
Brian Donohoe MP performed the official opening, and welcomed the initiative to stimulate business in the area.
Patrick Wiggins, Chief Executive of Irvine Bay Regeneration Company, said: “The building has nine offices ready for business, four of which are already in use. We have the capacity to expand to 20 over the coming year, along with a reception area, communal meeting space, an exhibition area and a conference room.
“This is about helping to support new-start businesses for the vital early months of their existence, supporting their growth and prosperity.”
