The Museum of Ayrshire Country Life and Costume at Dalgarven Mill has been extended to create a new Display and Restoration Centre.
The new extension replaces the derelict building that was constructed by the Manpower Services in the mid-1980’s. The new facility provides additional space to display the museum’s collection of large historical industrial and agricultural pieces and provides space for temporary displays and features. The new building also provides space to house and restore new pieces. Construction was undertaken by Northacre Environmental Trust.
