The vision for Stevenston: to  re-establish the town as a place for healthy living and growing business

In Stevenston, the regeneration plan must ensure the town centre meets the needs of the local community, attracts new investment and creates day-to-day activity.

Key development areas

Three key development areas have been identified in Stevenston as the particular areas of the town where we need to focus attention, to maximise the impact of the regeneration process on this North Ayrshire town:

• People’s place
• Gateways
• Leisure living

We believe that concentrating resources and investment in these key development areas will help to develop the business, recreational and leisure assets, attracting inward investment to Stevenston.  Physical changes to the town centre will create a distinctive local offering and lead to new business opportunities for Stevenston and the surrounding area. The North Ayrshire coast is an attractive area of Scotland with a great deal to offer both to local people and to tourists.

Ongoing projects include the The Grange, a newly developed business centre on the site of the former Grange Bingo Hall in the centre of Stevenston.
