Harbour Inn, Ardrossan

The derelict Harbour Inn was purchased by Irvine Bay and we have been seeking a private investor to work with us to bring this exciting venture to life.

In September 2009 a grant was awarded from the Scottish Government's Town Centre Regeneration Fund to be used to bring the building back into use in partnership with a private investor.

An extensive structural survey of the building has now been carried out and the building is has been found to be unsafe. The next step is therefore to arrange for its demolition. .

The prominent location is suitable for a variety of uses such as retail, restaurant or bar, office or residential. Irvine Bay is considering the options for a suitable scheme.

The refurbishment of this prominent site will contribute to urban regeneration in the area.

Discussions are taking place with interested parties.
