St Mathew's school pupils designed a beach hut for Ardrossan South Beach as part of their Standard Grade Art and Design course.
The project is one of a series of coastal beacons which will transform the Irvine Bay coastline.
Irvine Bay Regeneration Company and Cultural Services in North Ayrshire Council worked with the school to transform the winning design into a full size beach hut which was erected on the sea front at Ardrossan South Beach over Summer 2010 for Big on the Beach 2010.

The beach hut is now on display at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine.
