One of the best-loved buildings in Saltcoats is to be given a new lease of life by Irvine Bay Regeneration Company – and a whole raft of opportunities will be created for local people as a result.
A successful application for Scottish Government funding for the project via the Town Centre Regeneration Fund means the Saltcoats station building is to be transformed.
Mother and daughter Sheena Watt and Joyce Hall host a guided tour of the building, sharing their memories of this magnificent landmark for the town.
Irvine Bay Regeneration Company is seeking potential occupiers for the B-listed building for the space that is to be created – ground floor accommodation of 132 sq metres suitable for food and beverage or retail use; and offices ranging from 13.5 sq m to 20.5 sq m and totalling 70 sq m on the first floor.
