Irvine Bay offers a superb coastal environment with access to championship level golf courses, world class sailing territory and a growing network of pathways that provide an ideal location for walkers and cyclists. The area also has excellent transport links to the rest of Scotland.
In the past, Irvine Bay was a popular entertainment and visitor location for people from the west of Scotland and beyond. In fact, it still is! People today choose to visit for different reasons, but many to do with enjoying the outdoors. The outstanding golf courses continue to attract golfers from all over Scotland and further afield. Encouragingly, the recent development of sailing facilities has seen growth in this expanding, and high-value, leisure sector.
Plans are developing for a coastal park which will include the existing paths network and coastal path. Already, coastal 'beacons' are being developed, such as gems among among the rocks, that will create interest in the shoreline and draw visitors down to the sea once again.
In addition you can enjoy excellent local food and drink as well as lots of great places to visit.
