Priority industries

We are committed to creating an environment where new and existing businesses can thrive. It is vital for us to play to strengths we have in the area already in order to attract inward investment. It will also be important to tackle the legacy issues of vacant industrial land.

The priorities are to:

• Develop business centres, office pavilions and workshops, as well as marketing sites to companies looking for owner-occupied units
• Consolidate industry onto the best industrial areas
• Support our partners in growing business and new business start-up in partnership with existing Scottish Enterprise and North Ayrshire Council activities
• Build on Ayrshire's tourism strengths
